Note: The live transcriptions feature is not available in breakout rooms. After the host has enabled the auto-transcription feature, the host and all participants in the meeting will see an arrow next to the CC Live Transcript button on the toolbar. Using live transcriptions in Zoom helps us to be inclusive of the entire UD community. While captions are accommodating for those with hearing impairments, they are also helpful for people without disabilities, including those whose primary language is not English.

If you are not recording and wish to save the transcript, you can enable the Save Captions feature under your Zoom meeting settings. Then, be sure to press Save Transcript before the meeting ends the option will not be available afterwards. Important: This setting will allow anyone in the meeting to save the transcript while the meeting is in progress.
Zoom meeting hosts can designate a meeting participant to type captions. The content this person types will be available as embedded close captions to other meeting participants who enable the closed caption viewing option. Under the same Cloud Recording section, tick the Audio transcript check box. Click the Save button. Step 2: Generate a Transcript Open a new browser window and locate the video you want to transcribe. Keep the video open, but do not press play yet. In your Zoom window, start a cloud recording by clicking on Host A Meeting at the top-right of your Zoom account and selecting Screen Share Only from the dropdown menu.
A new window will open to set up your Zoom Meeting, asking you to select the window where your video is located. Tick the Share Sound check box at the bottom-left and then click the Share button. A new window will open for the recording of your Zoom Meeting.
